Springs Visit

Well we have been home for almost a week and I finally unpacked today so that means I can finally post pictures :)

We flew up on a late Wednesday night and settled in to our cozy Days Inn :) Here was the view from our balcony. No bad huh? I sat out there a lot and watched the bunnies run around the pool.

All Thursday we drove around with our realtor looking at the different parts of town. The part we could not get over was the wildlife EVERYWHERE! This is just a sample of what we saw driving around.

Friday we looked at houses all day again! Luckily we found some time in the evening to go visit Garden of the Gods. I do not know how to explain it but as a bunch of beautiful big red rocks. We watched a rock climber for a while which was fun, but don't expect to see me in doing that anytime soon.

Saturday we looked at MORE houses and went to a bunch of open houses. The houses out there are just not what we are use to. Of course we have been pretty spoiled by our two beautiful houses :) That afternoon we met up with with a sweet lady Jeff worked with in Dallas. We had a great time visiting with her and hearing how glad she was that she had relocated her family out here! That evening we went to visit a friend of mine from pharmacy school in Castle Rock. It was great to see them as in 3 more weeks they will be adding a little one to their family. I already put a plug in with them that I love to babysit :)

Sunday morning we went and saw two more houses. I really liked one of them, we just have to try to get it at the right price :) It was very isolated and had a breath taking backyard!

Our flight wasn't until the late afternoon, so we tried to fit in as much sight seeing as possible. Our firs stop was the Broadmore. I can only describe it as magical! Check out its website because my pictures do not do it justice. www.broadmoor.com Did I mention I looked into spending one night there and the smallest, rinky-dink room was $535?

I was the most excited about visiting the zoo, but we just did not have enough time. So to give me a little taste we took a 'ski lift' ride that goes over the zoo and lets you stop at the top of a mountain. It gave a great view of the zoo on the way up and an amazing view of the city on the way home.

It definitely was not the most relaxing 'vacation' I had ever been on and we were not successful is finding our dream house, but we had a great time.
