Ripley's Believe It or Not: Liz on Bourban St

That is right, Jeff and went to New Orleans 4 days and 4 nights! Did I mention it was the first weekend of Mardi Gras? (No, we did not go for the beads, we went for a lacrosse tournament.)

Thursday spent the day being tourists! We went to the Aquarium, toured the French Quarter, walked down Bourbon St (during the day.) Then we ended the 'New Orleans' filled day with BEIGNETS, yummo!

This guy was my favorite! Someone who can empathize with standing on your feet all day!

Friday we spent the morning at Audubon Park. We spent a couple hours walking around and taking in the great weather and beautiful scenery. I don't think pictures could ever do it justice! Friday afternoon he had 2 lacrosse games. That night we went to the first Mardi parade. It went right in front of our hotel! We had a good time, but we were near the end of the 2 hour route so they looked pretty tired!




Saturday Jeff played 4 games while I hung out reading at the pool! Saturday night we went out to eat with friends and had to go get Beignets again! On the way back to the hotel Jeff lead me down Bourban St. just so I would have the 'experience!' I saw more than I ever wanted to!


Sunday Jeff had 2 more lacrosse games and his team won the championship! It was really fun to cheer them on as they beat a team from Virginia!

Can check New Orleans off my bucket list :)
