Back story on Little One:
- We found her in Home Depot parking lot after Hurricane Ike
- We quickly found out she does not use litter boxes
- As a result (and not to her mom's liking) she is an indoor/outdoor cat
My biggest stress about the move was my cats! The indoor cats I was stressed out about, but at least knew they were SAFE! I had no idea how to teach an outdoor cat where her new house is, so I did not sleep for several nights I was so worried about Little One's transition.
Well she did it like a rock star and the first 3 nights that we had her in the new house she was waiting at the back door in the morning :) Friday morning she however was no where to be found. That is VERY unusual for her, because she is our only cat that actually comes when she is called. We spent a good part of the day exploring the neighborhood, which is all trees and had no luck finding her. The only conclusion was that she got taken by a coyote (apparently we really do live in the country.) I cried, cried and cried some more! I made Jeff get rid of every memory I had of her around the house, because I knew for sure she was gone :(
We went to the grocery store that night and came back around 9:30 and SHE WAS IN THE BACKYARD!
Little One said bye to the city and hello to the country!
I'm so glad she came home! I thought I lost Kirby Kitty once, and even though he drives me crazy, I was so worried about him. Silly cats!
