Washington DC- Day 4

Sunday we started the day off by visiting the National Museum of Health and Medicine. Sad to say, we were the only people there. I found it very interesting and Jeff enjoyed parts of it. The most impressive was the bullet that killed Abe Lincoln and a lock of his hair.

If you know anything about my family you know there is issues with picking hair. So I found this very interesting, it was removed from a girl's stomach who had eaten her hair for 7 years. Crazy huh?

It was then time for the highlight of my trip, the ZOO! It was an awesome zoo and we are so glad that we were able to visit it. One of the unique things it has was called an "O" line. On one side of the zoo was an orangutan cage with a climbing poll coming out of it. Connected to that poll was ropes leading to several other poles throughout the zoo. The orangutan could not jump down from the poles but the last pole was in another cage that they could go down in to. It was amazing to see them "cross" the zoo over everyone's heads!

My favorite- the big cats :)

The zoo is very famous for their Pandas

That night we went out to eat with my parents in downtown Bethesda. It was Jeff's new favorite resteraunt because there was a TV at each table, oh my!

We LOVED Washington DC! And no broken ankle :)
