• Miles cracks up when we play peek a boo with him

• He laughed at his sister for the first time- sweetest moment ever

• He is still wearing 3-6 month clothes but has graduated on to just 6 month clothing too

• Miles started opening up his arms when he wants to be picked up- my heart skips a beat each time

• Miles got a helmet (See post 'The Journey of Miles' Helmet)

Eating:

Well apparently the reason he hasn't ate much formula up to this point was because he was holding out for real food. The amount he takes from in his bottles hasn't changed- he still eats between 3-4 oz of formula every 3 hours. He is still on the more concentrated formula on the recommendation of the pediatrician. We can't tell any difference except that it makes him super constipated- poor little guy! So with each bottle we pour in some prune juice. It definitely does not keep him regular but it seems to help a little. He still is not interested in holding his bottle while he is eating. The second he is done eating though he grabs the bottle and plays with it putting the nipple back and forth in his mouth. Miles has become a little easier to feed as he keeps his hands out of his mouth but he still wiggles and squirms the WHOLE time. Miles is ALL boy and I love it! Miles is a champ and has not found a baby food that he doesn't like! He also has not found an adult food that he doesn't like either. He has tried some cool whip, yogurt and crackers. Whatever we are eating he opens his mouth for! However if it isn't a puree he spits it back out. We sit them down in their highchairs at least twice a day. Miles can clear a small container of baby food all by himself at each feeding. I always offer him his sippy cup full of water but he thinks it is much more fun to throw on the ground. He prefers to drink out of an adult cup- he actually is really really good at drinking from it! We have stopped giving him the reflux medicine on a regular basis and just give it to him when it seems to be bothering him.

Sleeping:

Miles' sleeping has been a rollercoaster this month- however the peaks have been amazing! Some nights I think Miles would sleep through the night if his sister didn't wake up and other nights he wakes us up 3 or 4 times! We did have one night where they both slept 10.5 hours!! But that was an isolated incident :) We have been putting him down around 9:00 pm every night. They tend to wake up between 3 and 5 and then wake up for good around 7. He is the sweetest little thing how he turns on to his side and snuggles up with his blanket during the night! It is amazing how the helmet doesn't bother him at all! It was amazing that getting his teeth didn't seem to disrupt his sleeping at all. In fact it was a complete shock when my finger slipped in his mouth putting his paci in and felt the tooth! He takes at least two naps a day but they are never longer than 30-45 minutes. One day this little boy will learn how glorious naps are! But right now it is just extra one and one time I get to spend with him and I ADORE every minute of it!

Playtime:

These little monkeys just keep growing and I am amazed with all their new talents every day! We turned our formal dinning room into a playroom and we have already logged a lot of hours! In fact, that is where we spend 90% of our day. No matter what he is playing with or what he is doing he is ALWAYS moving- whether it just be rolling his wrists or flexing his feet! I can already tell this little man is going to give me a run for my money :) He has started being very intrigued with his sister and more importantly his sister's pacifier. I will walk out of the room to get bottles or diapers and I will come back in and he will have a pink paci in his mouth- little stinker! He has gotten much more solid at sitting up! He also doesn't cry when he falls backward anymore. I don't know if that is because it doesn't scare him anymore or because of his helmet! His favorite toy this past month has been empty water bottles. He loves putting the top in his mouth and crunching the bottle. He isn't too picky though as long as it fits in his mouth. The cutest thing he is plays with is his "Little Tooter." It is a trumpet that he puts in his mouth the right way but sometimes he can't get it out and needs a little help. He is also very strong and dare devil daddy will stand him up holding on to the side of his crib and he can hold on for quite a long time. I don't know why everyone keeps trying to make my babies grow up :) No matter what he is doing though you can usually count him having a smile on his face with the dimples that will make anyone melt!! Have I mentioned yet how in love I am?
