Mazz Madness!: First Easter

The Frick family was having a get together for Easter up in Ponca City and we decided to make the LONG drive to celebrate with everyone! We left around 8:00 in the morning and got to OKC around 6:00- whew we survived our 2nd long car ride to OKC!!! Saturday we made an additional 2 hour trip to Ponca City :) It was our first night with the babies in a hotel and they did great! However it was a obstacle course to walk from your bed to the bath room because we had 2 pack n plays set up :) Sunday morning we woke up, had breakfast at the hotel and got dressed (in the cute matching outfits I bought them from Etsy!) We headed to church only to get there and it was FULL! There aren't very many church options in Ponca City so we headed to Walmart to kill some time so we could head back to the church and pick up Mimi & Papa Non. I know what everyone is thinking- Walmart & Easter, really? We told the babies about Jesus' resurrection walking up and down the aisles. After our time at Walmart it was time to head to Lake Ponca for the Frick family picnic! We were so excited to see so much family we hadn't seen in a while. The babies were rockstars! They did not take a nap until 5:30 when we left the lake that night because they were being held or passed around the whole time we were there. Of course everyone was fighting over them :) My most favorite moment was when Mallory sat on Great Mema's lap for about 30 minutes and they played patty cake (picture below.) I hope to never forget that! We then drove back to OKC and Mimi and Non had Easter baskets for the babies. They had a great time opening those and playing with the goodies inside. It was a great Easter and such a special time with family! (Sorry I didn't get any cheezy pictures of babies posing with Easter Eggs!)
