Eating:

Miles has started drinking between 4-6 oz at each bottle yeah!!! He eats 5 bottles during the day and 1 bottle during the night. He will spit the bottle out when he thinks he is done but if you keep putting it back in his mouth he will keep drinking more- like his mom he eates when he is bored :) My favorite is that he holds on to his pacifier while he is eating the bottle and when he is truly done with his bottle he spits the bottle out and puts his paci in to let you know he is full! Smartest little boy ever! He also holds his hands on tot he bottle most of the time and will rotate back and forth. He just can't stop moving! As far as food goes Miles has the appetite of a growing boy as long as it is pureed! His favorite is definetly anything sweet such as ice cream or milkshakes :) But when I make him eat veggies he prefers sweet potatoes. We continue to offer him solid items such as puffs, cherrios, and little pieces of fruit but he spits it out as fast as you can put it in his mouth. Little stinker!! The funniest part is that he stares at you while you are eating it and grunts for you to share but as soon as it touches his tongue he changes hsi mind.  I find it very ironic that he has more teeth than sister but he refuses to use them :) He has also mastered his sippy cup! He holds on to the handles and tips it upward like a champ! So I know he has the ability to hold his own bottle but I don't encourage it because I rather snuggle with him while giving him his bottle :) Little man is still very consitpated so we have started putting a teaspoon of Miralax in one bottle a day and that has seemed to relieve some of his frustrations!

Sleeping:

Well the fat lady has finally sang- well just a couple times that is. Both of my kids slept through the night on the same night! I will never forget April 15th 2014- the glorious first night! We didn't announce it as sleeping through the night because we knew it was most likely a fluke- and of course it was haha! Miles has also decided he is an extra early riser- we are talking 6:15! I try to tell myself it is more precious time I get to spend with him :) That pushes their early nap to around 9:30 and their afternoon nap around 1:30. I have officially done everything the sleep training books say not to do- and they spend their whole nap in my arms while I rock in the rocker. I don't get a lot done during the day but I wouldn't take that time back snuggling with my babies for anything! The second biggest surprise after him sleeping through the night was the morning I went in their and he was sitting up! He had never done that during the day- so I assume he was on his stomach and pushed himself up to sitting- but that little magician will never share his tricks! He also spent several nights in OKC and one night in a hotel in Ponca City. He did great sleeping in the pack n play- what a trooper!

Playtime:

I will say this again Miles is ALL boy! He has started playing with a little mini van we have by running it back and forth - how he knows that is what a car does I have no idea! Mallory isn't interested in the van at all haha! He also fearless! In particular water does not make him nervous at all. We have always know he was good with water because when you wash his hair in the bath tub he doesn't have a problem with water pouring down his face. While we were in OKC we got to go swimming at the hotel pool. It wasn't your ordinary hotel pool- it was a little kid's dream pool. Well Miles went down a slide, stood under a fountain and did nothing phased him. He showed his cousin Mark that although he might be small he is fearless :) The weather has been getting nicer so I have started taking them in the yard to get fresh air. He will do whatever it takes to reach off of the blanket to grab the dirt and the grass- again ALL boy! My FAVORITE thing that Miles does is belly laugh at his sister! She doesn't have to be doing anything in particular- he just laughs. I never ever want to forget his precious laugh! Miles has also learned how to dance and by dance I mean head bang- I guess that is all boy too! His favorite past time these days is running around in his walker in the garage. I move the cars out and him and his sister play bumper cars with their walkers. He was moving only backwards for quite a while but has figured out how to move forward and turn really well now. He also loves walking around holding on to our hands. It is precious!!! I can already tell he is going to be Mr. Independent because he gets so frustrated that he can't walk by himself. It is hard to tell if he is going to skip crawling all together because he seems like like walking so much. He will get on his knees like he wants to crawl but then he will put himself back on his booty. Miles has also taken up a strong interest in MJ our cat. He squeals like a little pig when MJ comes into the same room as us and he grunts until I move him so he can touch MJ. Again he is all boy- in that he doesn't know the meaning of gentle- he only knows how to take fist fulls of hair out. Thankfully we have a very patient cat! This little boy is TOO much fun and I look forward to all the boy things he teaches me :)
