Eating:
Mallory is my taste tester! I wouldn't say she is my 'eater' by any means because she still consumes such a little amount of food but she is willing to try anything you put in her mouth! Breakfast rotates between full-fat yogurt, eggs, dry cheerios, yogurt drops, breakfast weenies with her favorite of all of those being yogurt. She is definetly the independent stage and wants to hold the spoon herself and feed herself- which leads to her eating even less! Bibs are also no where to be seen around here because they both refuse to keep them on. She says 'more' very clearly when she wants more food and she says 'out' very clearly when she is ready to get out of her high chair. Lunch and dinner is usually whatever we can get them to eat. It will consist of any of the following: a squeeze pouch, peanut butter crackers, spaghetti, chicken nuggets, french fries, chips, plain peanut butter, and more goldfish crackers. (Obvious reason why the nuggets are in the 2% as far as weight.) She is very polite though and when she is done with her food or there is something she doesn't care for she either turns around and puts it on the kitchen table behind her or holds it in her hand until I will come get it from her. She doesn't feed the dog even 1/4 as much as Miles does! She still gets a bottle every night (shame on us parents) and can clearly say 'milk' when she is ready for her nighttime bottle and clearly says 'all gone' when she finishes. She is a sweet girl and loves the free cookie she gets at grocery store and her all time favorite is CANDY CORN (and I might use these a lot to bribe her to sit in her car seat.) She is a great water drinker and will take her empty water cup over to the fridge when her cup runs out.

Sleeping:
Mallory and I will ALWAYS have a special bond over loving sleep! Since we moved Miles into a pack in play into the backroom sleep has continued to flourish around here :) We were always so quick to jump and soothe one of them at night as to not wake the other but now she is a rockstar at putting herself back to sleep so when we hear her in the middle of the night we don't pop out of bed. She was either growing a ton these past 2 months or she was just enjoying having the room to herself because there were some nights that she slept 13 hours! We have also started just putting them down for naps instead of rocking them and she continues to impress me with how great she is at putting herself down. She will walk into her room close to nap time and go hold on to her crib and say 'nigh-nigh'- seriously could she be anymore PERFECT? In her crib she has a fluffy pillow she loves and a big blanket. Her favorite is the ties on her bumper she just lays there playing with those between her fingers to help her fall asleep. They each this 'fish tank/tv' thing in their crib that lights up and plays relaxing music when they press the button. That is how I know she is awake from her nap because she will turn it on and I can here the music- what a little angel! Our night time routine of putting them to bed has changed a little. We both use to take one and we all four laid in our bed and watched Daniel Tiger Neighborhood while they drank their bottles and dozed off to sleep. However they are partners in crime now and if they are any where near each other the can't stop playing. So I take Miles into our bed to feed him his bottle and Jeff takes Mallory on the couch to feed her her bottle. The only reason we have the baby we have is because Miles will only calm down watching Daniel Tiger and Mallory will fall asleep watching football- so Jeff prefers to put Mallory to sleep. We both are so spoiled though because after they fall asleep in our arms we each lay there for 30 minutes or so just praying over each of them while we get our snuggles in :)

Playtime:
This girl has spunk- well and lets be honest we have known that from the beginning! I seriously cannot get enough play time with her during the day! The first part of the morning is spent in the playroom. She loves playing peek a boo inside her carnival tent and LOVES sitting on my lap to read a book. She will go get a new book and bring it back to me to read for a good 30-45 minutes. We don't exactly read the books but point out what all the pictures are. So I will say "Where is the apple? Where is the the airplane? etc We also have to big play structures that have doors and mailboxes which we love to play with. One of our favorite things in the playroom is the window to the front yard! We stand their and wave and blow kisses to every car/truck that passes by :) After we get antsy in the playroom we head out to the drive way. Little Miss Sassy just loves walking to the neighbors house to go knock on their doors and doesn't even look back to say bye to me. She is the word independent at it's finest. However if there is a flower in bloom she will detour to run over and smell it- absolutely precious. We will go walk and look at the trucks clearing land for new houses and Miles holds my hand the whole way but not Miss Mallory! In the driveway we push our Cozy Coup cars around and like to play with the brooms. In the evening time ALL the neighbor kids come to our driveway and the babies just eat it up! Mallory is by far the neighborhood favorite with all the big girls- they all love to give her high fives! We also started going to library time which is a great way for us to get out of the house and get some interaction from other kids. It is a little challenging corralling them both myself but it is so worth it. We dance, sing, read books, blow bubbles and then their favorite- watch the puppets! They are still pretty apprehensive and wouldn't dare leave my lap on their own but they really enjoy the time they are there. Sometimes on the way their we stop for Chickfila breakfast which is a great time on the indoor playground. Mallory again has no fear and goes into the jungle gym all by herself and climbs to the top. She is enamored by big kids! If there are other kids there she just picks a spot to sit down and watch them- I can only imagine the little thoughts going on in her head. Then we come home and play in the kitchen while I get their lunch ready. They have 2 drawers in the kitchen filled with just their toys. However she is not very good at playing with just her brother. Whether she is in the playroom, outside, or at my feet she wants me actively playing with them- which I say YES to of course (that is why my blogging is so far behind!) Then sometime after nap we always go to the park. They LOVED the park and sister girl climbs up all the stairs by herself and goes down the slide by herself! She also is a HUGE fan of the swing and could do it for hours- but it gets challenging because Miles not so much. Without making this blog post too long and rambling in summary Mallory truly is the sweetest, happiest, go lucky little girl ever! She waves and blows kisses to every human, animal or car that passes, she will be held by anyone (even little 4 year olds) and is always making sure her brother is taken care of :) Oh.. ok I thought of one more precious Mallory moment- Miles bite her so she started crying, I yelled No at Miles so he started crying, Mallory went over to rub her bubba's head since he was crying even though he bite her- what a gal!!
