Eating
Not much has changed on picky Miles eating :( Every time I change a poopy diaper I wonder where it came from- because it definitely did not come from him eating! For breakfast I am lucky if he has a couple cheerios. For lunch I am thrilled if he has a couple bites of a chicken nugget and some pringles and dinner is a success if he eats 3 fork-fulls of Mac & Cheese and a yogurt drink. The good news is that he LOVES his flinestone vitamin and his DHA that we give him every day. He won't even try most things that we offer him- and it is straight across the board whether it is sweets or something healthy- he won't let it touch his lips. The only thing that he will devour and we are SO thankful for is chickfila chicken nuggets and little pieces of chicken from Freebirds dipped in queso. So that being said we eat at those two restaurants a lot to get him some protein. One of our common routines is going to chickfila in the morning and getting them nuggets and then letting them play on the playground :) He is however great at drinking his water everyday and LOVES chewing ice. If I could only figure out how to get nutrients in ice!
Sleep
Miles oh Miles...I hope you still pull on your ear, my ear or your daddy's ear when you are tired till you are 30! It melts my heart everytime! Miles is my still my solid sleeper and my early riser. He is still sleeping in the back bedroom in a pack n play until we figure out how to get Mallory to not have to cry it out everynight. He still gets all the accommodations of a crib- his blanket, his pillow, his sound machine, and his little nightlight/tv. We had them both on a great sleeping schedule going to bed between 8 and 8:30 until daylight savings time struck. We haven't been able to get that schedule back and they go to bed everynight between 9 and 10! We are super spoiled though that in the morning Miles wakes up around 8 and Mallory around 9. The thought of having to have two kids dressed and to school one day by 8 makes me treasure these morning sleep ins even more! He consistently goes down for nap time around 1:00 and sleeps for 1-2 hours. I hold Miles while we go put Mallory down and he kisses her goodnight and then we go put Miles down and all is peaceful :) I don't know if I have mentioned the nightlight/TV things that they have before- but would recommened them to anybody! They are a little animal scene and when you push a button the animals light up, move and make soothing music. The babies push their button at least 3-4 times during the night to help them fall back asleep. When we travel somewhere they are the first things that get packed! Miles is a little ghetto looking in that his hangs on his pack n play by a bungee cord hahaha. Night time routine still consists of a group hug and bottle with daddy on the couch while they watch sports.
Playtime
Miles is my sweet sweet boy! His FAVORITE things are trucks, balls, cars, tractors and ANIMALS! There is hope that this little boy will be my vet :) One of my most favorite things he does is when he is trying to get an animal to come to him he squats down and trys to snap his fingers- it is adorable! He squeals like a pig anytime we do anything that involves animal- visiting the pet store, going to a neighbors house with animals, driving by a field of cows, and of course anytime Mila and MJ come say HI to him. He can't get enough of our cat and dog and we are SO grateful that we hands down have the most patient and loving pets that tolerate our toddlers like saints (well with the exception of Gabby- we haven't tested those waters yet!) He also is obessesed with all things outside, his scooter, his lawnmower, chalk and again his scooter! The scooters were a gift from Anna & Nate for Mom & Dad last summer and they say age 3 and up- but the babies have been using them ever since we got them. Miles is a little daredevil on his and goes down driveways, up curbs, makes quick turns and often is dodging his sister. One of our favorite times is taking a walk in the evening with them riding their scooters on the sidewalk :) It is funny to see how his personality changes at home compared to when we are in a strange place. At home he is more likely to play by himself (in the same room) compared to when we are in a strange place and he won't leave my hip. He won't look at strangers, talk to strangers and won't get strangers high fives. With the weather getting nicer we are getting to play outside more and Miles hones in on sticks, rocks, and dirt. He is ALL boy! Miles also has the best giggle of any kid I have ever heard! Lucky for us he giggles a lot and he is very ticklish- so we can make him giggle whenever we want :) He adores his sister and copies EVERYTHING she does whether it makes sense or not hahaha. Man I LOVE this kid and I LOVE learning about little boys from him!
