We thought long and hard about what would be a perfect present for Papa Non turning 60 and we realized a day with his grandkids is what would be his favorite present! So we booked the tickets and everyone kept the secret and we did it we pulled off the surprise! Mimi picked us up from the aiport and Non was back at the loft. So Mimi went back into the loft like she had been running errands and we waited a couple minutes and went up and had the kids knock and the door and Jeff and I hid so it looked like the kids came by themselves. When he opened the door his response was "Well how did ya'll get here?" It was great!
So excited at the airport but refusing to take a picture
Again excited but refusing to pose
It is like Christmas morning when they are at the airport they are so excited!
Mommy and her buddy sat together
Mallory at least had company in her baby doll- because Daddy was 'medicated' for most of the flight
From the flight from Houston to OKC we switched sitting partners- poor Miles
The kids were wound up that night and Mimi got out all the toys!!
What Jeff looks like after a long day of taking pills and flying
Playing with Daddy's old micromachines from when he was little
We had beautiful weather the next day! Mimi and Non took Miles and Mal to a donut shop while Mommy & Daddy slept for a little bit and of course they had a blast! Then we went to a train museum and a WWII museum. The kids LOVED all the big transportation vehicles they got to see!
No better way to start the day
Train museum!!
We got to walk through a million train cars
They had the most amazing train model set up
Mallory was entertained for maybe 30 seconds
Mallory's doll "Samantha" enjoyed the trains too
Every good museum ends in a playgroud
The boys went exploring at a near by park
Comes in handy having a tall Papa Non
After the museums we stopped for ice cream and then walked around an outlet mall- while daddy bought new shoes! Then we stopped at a Mexican place for an early birthday dinner for Papa Non! They made him wear a sombero and they sang- it was great!
Watching tortillas be made
Yummy dinner!
A perfect end to a great day!
On Papa Non's actual birthday we drove 2 hours to Ponca City to visit Great Mema and Uncle Barry! Mema's microwave was broken so while the boys fixed it Mimi, Aunt DeeAnn, myself and the twins went to a park to feed the ducks and explore!
Mimi helping them cross the river
They made it!
Holding up their exploring sticks
Men hard at work!
My buddy Uncle Barry!!
Sweet time with Great Mema
Miles was exhausted!
We had a picnic on Mema's kitchen floor
The next day we decided to go visit the beautiful Clysdale horses that are in OKC. The kids were a little shy but still had a great time! We then realized we were close to a Chuckie Cheese- so of course we had to stop! The kids had a blast there and ate lots of pizza too! Then we went home and played dress up- wait till you see the pictures!!
Miles holding his ear means he is exhausted
Worker man Miles!! He was literally speechless
Doctor Mallory and Doctor Miles
She listened to her babies heart
Can you see the tattoos on the sleeves???
The last day we were there we had a BIG birthday party for Papa Non with both sides of the family there! It was GREAT seeing all the relatives that live in OKC!!! After the party we stopped a fun park in downtown OKC and then we relaxed for the rest of the night!
I got to hold lots of precious babies!
Mallory after she eats blue cake!
The next morning we got up and went to the airport- which Jeff was not very happy about :( Luckily he was heavily medicated and I had fun with the kids :)
Miles spilled ice on his pants so we dried them with the A/C
