Fort Project (need commentary)

Poor Jeff..... I have been nagging him for over 9 months now to build the kids a fort. I found plans on Pinterest and figured I mean how hard could it be :) The project is broken down into 3 huge parts and we decided we should just tackle one at a time- the base.

So we made our list of material we needed and headed to Lowes- with all 5 baby dolls in tow. We like to make a scene where ever we go!

Then the kids had a blast 'helping' daddy arrange the wood. Long story short..... Daddy didn't arrange the wood where it was going to end up being and he put it together in the grass. After it was put together we spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to enginneer picking it up with just the 2 of us.... with no success. So Jeff took the whole thing apart and then rebuilt it back where we wanted it.

We were so excited to show it to the kids and the first thing Miles said was "It isn't tall enough" hahaha..... I then realized we were building more of a 'play house' then a fort! So we are revamping the plans and will see when we actually finish the rest of it. As for now we enjoy having dance parties out there and lots of picnics!
