Halloween 2017

My poor kids don't have any choice but to LOVE Halloween because I make such a big deal out of it!

We always start off with lots of fun crafts, projects and decorating the house!

Miles's hands with Halloween nail tattoos

and of course Mallory's

We got 'boo-ed' by one of the neighbors and found some goodies

We decorated pumpkins- Mal's was a witch

Miles was a mummy

She sits like a princess and he is a toot

Every year our neighborhood has a fall festival that we enjoy. It is really neat to see how the kids are getting more and more adventurous every year! There was a HUGE blow up slide there this year that Miles went down a million times! His little face looked like a tomato he was so hot! Mallory liked watching from the sidelines :) They also had the train that is at every function we ever go to and Miles will ride it by himself these days- but daddy wanted in on some of the fun!

Neighborhood fall festival

I think his lifetime count for this train is 486 rides

He was a MACHINE on this slide!!

Then it came time for all the Halloween parties! The first one we went to was with Jeff's work it was the "Brick or Treat." It was at Blackwater Brewery and they had lots of fun games for the kids. Jeff dressed up as T-Rex and it was a hit!

Mila got festive

Mommy always gets festive

On our way to a Halloween party for Daddy's work

Daddy scared lots of little kids

We had been counting down the days until we carved our pumpkins and we were SO lucky to get special visitors to join us- Uncle Nate and Aunt Anna. The kids are aware of Nathan's amazing art skills so Miles requested a Lightning McQueen be carved in his and Mallory wanted Cinderalla on hers :) It was a big change because this year they weren't afraid to touch the 'gunk' in the pumpkins. Then we also had lots of fun painting pumpkins too!!

Then it was time for the Savarino's annual Halloween party and it was a blast! In fact such a great time that we didn't get any pictures except dad dressed up as T-Rex saying Hi to the neighborhood deer!

Mom even bakes Halloween treats!

Halloween party at the Savarino's

Our neighbors invited us to their church's "Trunk or Treat" and we had an AMAZING time! Every car was set up with a carnival game and they were the perfect age-wise games for the kids! We learned Mallory is amazing at bean bags- she got it in the hole every time and Miles is amazing at golf- he got a hole in one every time. Miles FAVORITE game was hammering golf tees into a pumpkin- his face just lite up! They also had a super fun hayride for us to ride on and the kids got to squirt a fireman's hose. It was AWESOME!

Well when it came to actual trick or treating on Halloween it was a disaster! It was freezing and POURING down rain!! So we put on lots of jackets, gloves and went! We only made it through one street before we were all miserable :( Very thankful we got to do so much stuff ahead of time!
