Dallas Weekend

We had Mark & Michael's birthday party in Mckinney to go to so we decided to make a vacation weekend out of it!

First stop was Great Wolf Lodge. When we checked in they both got wolf ears and so the adventure began! We got there Thursday evening around 5 o'clock and swam our little hearts out till the water park closed at 8:00. The kids were SO excited because they had seen a lot about it on the videos they watch. However none of us were expecting it to be SO cold! They keep the water at 82 degrees- but when you are in an air conditioned room that can get chilly. Miles was super brave and tried several rides and they both LOVED the wave pool! The hotel was super fun with lots of halloween decorations and before we went to bed we went down for story time. The kids favorite part though might have been that we were next to the airport and they could see all the planes taking off and landing out our hotel window!

The next morning we ate at a little cafe downstairs that had wall paper covered in sprinkles! Then it was off to the arcade. The kids could play air hockey together all day long! Miles then found a ski ball set up and he played on that for at least 30 minutes- I have to say he is stud and did get a high score! Then it was time for the water park to open back up but Miles wasn't interested saying that he was too cold. So Mallory and I went in the lazy river and wave pool while the boys did a ropes course outside. The Mallory saw the ropes course and decided she wanted to give it a try. All 3 of my family members had a ball on it! Then after that it was a quick bite to eat, got some face painting and balloon animals done and then packed it up to our hotel in Richardson.

The next morning it was beautiful outside so we headed to the Dallas Zoo. We have been to a lot of different zoos and this visit was by far the most animals we have seen active. I could have stayed there all day but my little monkeys needed a nap before Mark & Michael's party. So then we headed up to Mckinney and had a good time at the party. The next morning we stopped for donuts and at a playground near our hotel and then headed back to CS!
