The kids had the whole week off for Thanksgiving- so we made a trip to Sea World's winter wonderland! It didn't open till 1 in the afternoon so we played around the house in the morning and then headed out.
The weather was PERFECT!!! The crowd was NON-existent!! We had an AMAZING time!!!
First thing when we got there we went to Discovery Cove. Since there was literally no one there the dolphin trainer asked if we wanted to see a dolphin so he had one swim up on the ledge so we could see it up close!
Then we found the most fun playground ever! It was a ton of nets and tunnels to run and climb through! We played on this for at least an hour!
Before we had left I had gotten an email that animal 'encounters' were 1/2 off- so I decided what the heck Miles would love to get to pet a penguin. So we had to show up at the penguin exhibit at a certain time and we had about a 30 minute presentation behind the scenes showing us where they live, where they make their food and all about penguins. Then the real treat came when they brought in a 1 year old penguin for us to pet!!! It was SO soft and loveable!! Unfortunately Mallory was freaked out- but Miles LOVED it!
Then while we waited for it to get dark to see the Christmas lights at the park we went to some shows! We went to a Beluga and dolphin show that was awesome and the kids LOVED and then we went to a cat and dog show that they also LOVED!!
Then it was time to walk around and look at lights and drink hot cocca and/or eat dippin dots (if you are my kiddos!) It was beautiful!
The next morning we woke up and went swimming in the hotel pool (at 7 in the morning!) Then it was time to check out and we stopped at a Snake Farm on the way home. It was a super small zoo that specialized in snakes. It was neat we got to see them feed otters which was super cool
