We do SO much fun stuff leading up to Christmas I decided it need it's own designated post :)
Mallory's Christmas dance recital was precious! This was a huge moment for her because last Christmas she didn't want to do it and this year she was SO excited for it! Brother was home sick with a fever so it was a girl's date night! She did great and wasn't nervous at all! Then we walked around 'Christmas in the Park' to look at lights. She is getting so grown up!
This year I had my own little sweat shop helping me get the 150 Christmas cards ready to go :) They did it great and willingly I might add!
Rockstar-Elfie Elf made his annual trip back to the Mazzolini house the day after Thanksgiving. He is such a nice guy he brought a Christmas book for both of them to get the holiday started off right! We found Miles several times having a one on one conversation with the Elf telling explaining to him what he wanted for Christmas :) Miles then started getting very creative and writing letters for the Elf to give to Santa and leaving the Elf presents to take to Santa. He wrapped up hot wheels, candy and money from his piggy bank for several days. Then Miles decided everyday he need to leave a vitamin for the Elf to take back to Santa because Santa is getting old and he didn't want him die :)
Then it was time to decorate the big tree! They had a fun time getting out all the ornaments they have made over the past couple years. I could barely stop and get them to take a picture they were so excited!
Then it was time to get out the mistletoe!
Then it was time to decorate outside! Daddy did a great job!
We decorated 4 gingerbread houses this year! More candy always gets eaten than used for decorations :)
We also do LOTS of holiday crafts! Including painting our annual ornament for the tree!
One of my favorite holiday thing that we do is drive around and look at Christmas lights almost every night! We sing songs and giggle a lot!! We also went to Central Park where you can get out and walk around and look at Christmas lights!
The kids even decorated their doll house with Christmas lights!
A new tradition we started this year was taking the kids to pick out a present for each other. I took Miles to Target and he picked out a Snow White barbie for Mallory (since she was Snow White for Halloween) all by himself! Jeff took Mallory to the other Target and she picked out a Hot Wheels toy for Miles. They both them wrapped them. They were SO excited to see what each other picked out. It was a precious moment being with Miles in Target while he went through in his head what Mallory would like and not like.
Miles told me he tied up the lamb so it wouldn't get away!
