We got to Tiki Island beach house Friday night. (Thanks McClellan family for letting us use the house!) Jeff & Alexis were itching to try fishing, so that is what we did :) Jeff would catch some shrimp in a net, then Alexis would 'babysit' them in the net until Jeff used them for bait. Then Jeff would hold the pole while Alexis held the flashlight. What a great team! They actually caught quite a few.
Saturday we woke up and took a nice walk around Tiki Island (cute neighborhood for anyone who hasn't been there.) Next stop was lunch on the seawall where we met Anna! Then we stopped and got some sand toys and were on our way to the beach! I think Alexis swallowed half of the Gulf with all the waves, but we had a great time! (Sorry no pictures, I didn't bring my camera to the beach.) We spent all day at the beach and then had dinner on the seawall. Went back to the house and did some more fishing, an overall awesome day!
Sunday we decided to get moving and try to see if the sand castles were still up from the previous days' sand castle competetition. We found them and they were awesome! There were 60 entries, and we will definitely make it a yearly event to go there.
We then spent a couple more hours and the beach and then headed home. What a great beach weekend!
