North Carolina Trip

We were really blessed this weekend by lots of great family! Bub & Jackie had planned their wedding for Memorial Day weekend in Belmont, NC. Well got on Google maps and find out that it is only 15 minutes away from my Uncle Ted & Aunt Kathy's house. So to North Carolina we went!

We got in Thursday and spent the evening with my Uncle & Aunt (and their two precious puppies.) It was so great to visit with them, and for them to really get to know Jeff more. I just enjoy watching the 4 of them, because they are like peas in a pod..

Friday we got up and went to the National White Water Rafting Training Center. It was really amazing. Jeff and I looked into going on a rafting trip but could not fit one in before the rehearsal dinner. So we ate lunch sitting next the the water watching people dump out of the rafts :)

Friday night was the rehearsal dinner! We went to Jackie's dad lake house for the rehearsal and then to the River Rat for dinner. We all had a great time getting excited about the next day :) Jeff's big relief was when he found out he wasn't doing his toast tonight, but the next night.

Saturday morning we went to downtown Charollete for Speed Street (something having to do with the big Nascar races that were happening that weekend.) It was interesting to say the least! It was great to see downtown though :)

Then we got dress and headed to the wedding for pictures. The weather was beautiful until about 5 minutes before the wedding started, and then it started coming down in buckets. Everything worked out and it was a beautiful, fun, and exciting wedding! They were just a precious couple :) We could not be happier for them.
