On the Road Again and Again

The past two weekends we have been out of town, thus the late blog post :)

The first weekend we went to Austin and our schedule was packed! Jeff was in the wedding of his dear friend Blake from Aggie lacrosse Friday night. It was at the Lady Bird Conservatory, absolutely gorgeous!

I had never met the bride before but oh my, did she organize one of the cutest weddings I have ever been to. I took lots of pictures for great ideas because I look forward to someday planning my two sisters' wedding.

Her "guest book" was an antique window for everyone to sign, how cute!

She had a memory tree for everyone to write a memory, prayer or wish for them. So creative! Got to catch up with some old Aggie friends, it was a great night!

Saturday I got to pick the first activity, which of course involved animals. So we found one of the greatest hidden treasures of Austin, the Austin Zoo! It was more of an animal sanctuary, which was awesome. Each animal had a little plaque about it with it's name and how it got to the sanctuary, a lot of the animals were handicapped. It was a lot smaller so you could get a lot closer to the animals, and they were a lot more active then I had ever seen them.

After the zoo we went to our friends the Garth and Holly Hinze's house. Jeff and Garth use to work together and Holly and I were great friends in pharmacy school. We had a great time visiting with them before baby Luke came :)

The we went to dinner with some old Aggie lacrosse peeps. They were all in town for the play off game of the Aggies vs. Texas State. So great to see them, the occasional lacrosse tournaments just aren't enough time to catch up :)

Sunday was dedicated to supporting family finish the MS 150. So neat to see all these people finishing such a great accomplishment, but I got tired just watching :)

I am still in awe that someone related to me finished this, go sister go!

We went to support all three of them, but did not see any of them riding! Nate was so fast, he finished the race before we got there, and we must have zoned out when Jackie and Bub rode by. Opps! You guys will just have to do it again :)

Needless to say I think I did more that weekend than I have all year!

Next on the agenda was Dallas for Jackie's wedding shower. We made it a whole Mazzolini family event! We drove up Saturday morning and went straight to the shower. It was a precious shower.

The Mazzolini Girls

After the shower we all went to a really neat place called Top Golf. It is a double decker driving range, and I am sure there was a lot more cool things about it but I wasn't paying attention :) All I know is that the food was good.

We are in town for this weekend, thank goodness I need to catch up on laundry!
