One of Jeff and I's favorite things to do together is go to zoos :) Everyone thought were were crazy to devote a whole day of our 4 day trip to the Bronx Zoo, but we are so glad we did! It has been named one of the top 5 zoos in the nation! Our long time family friend Bob, who lives in New Jersey, came with us which was great! He met us at our hotel and we hiked over to Grand Central Station to catch a train. Grand Central Station was 10 times more amazing than it looks in movies!

| Pictures don't do it justice! |
| I don't know how millions of people figure out this confusing transportation everyday |
| Since it was our first train ride I decided it was only appropriate to take a picture with the conductor |
It was a hot day at the zoo and it was a LOT of walking, but it was so worth it! There were even parts of the zoo that we didn't get to see because it was so big! There were so many animals I had never seen before, and lots of cute baby animals!

| Can you say OMG, a baby flamingo!!!! |
| Contrary to the amount of zoos we go to I still thought this was a flamingo in a tree- nope scarlet ibis |
| Tons of pretty gardens and beautiful sculptures |
| Baby peacocks, are you kidding? It doesn't get much better than this!! |
| Bob- Thanks for showing us the ropes :) |

| Us catching the train back to Manhattan |
We decided a trip to NYC would not be complete without seeing a Broadway show. I was super excited we got tickets to Mary Poppins- a fun walk down memory lane! It worked out great because we got back from the zoo pretty late and the theater was literally two blocks from our hotel. It was filled with lots of amazing songs Just a Spoonful of Sugar, Let's Go Fly a Kite, Chim Chim Cheree, and of course Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! It also was a little bit of a magic show with all the special effects. On the way back to the hotel we ate at our new favorite restaurant called Mazo Vegetarian. It has a falafel buffet! They put the falafels in the pita and then you go down the assembly line putting in fillings. Yummo! Where do you get falafels in Texas? Boy were my feet ready for bed that night!
