New York City- Day 5

We were exhausted by our last day to say the least! We took our time getting out of bed and had a pretty lazy day- my type of vacation :) Jeff went to go see Madison Square Garden and stopped and drooled over some shoe stores on his way back to the hotel (I had my nose in a book that I refused to put down.)

One of the highlights of my trip was getting to see my dear long time friend Mina. The last time I saw her was at my wedding! She is a writer/editor for Cosmopolitin Magazine. We became close friends in 7th grade and spent much of junior high and high school at each other's houses. Mina and I will always have a special bond because she has a cockatiel as old as Gabby! It was great to see her and I was so glad that our schedules allowed us to get together :)

Of course Jeff forgot to tell me my hair was all over the place!
Then we headed back to the Bronx to go to a Yankee Game! We took the subway there and were smashed in there like sardines (a full NYC experience.) The stadium was really neat and we had some great weather! One of the 'unique' things I noticed was at all the concessions stands was the calorie count next to the food item. How are you suppose to enjoy yourself at a game if you know how many calories you are eating? Hope that trend doesn't come to Texas :) The Yankees lost by 1 to the Blue Jays but it was still an awesome experience!

We had a really nice last dinner at a Baja Mexican place and then stopped at a yummo cupcake place for dessert! Perfect ending to a perfect vacation aka 6 year anniversary trip.

That trip wiped me out!
