Miles- Month 3

Milestones:
  • His smiles have gotten so much bigger! The dimples just keep getting cuter and cuter!!
  • Miles started talking and cooing- seriously can he get any sweeter!'
  • He is extremely alert and follows everything with his little eyes
  • Miles started splashing in the bathtub he gets so excited!
  • He is getting better head control everyday- he can hold it up really well but he gets fussy after a little but and rather be laying down flat on his back
  • He has grown out of newborn diapers and is on to size 1
  • Miles has found the mirror- and loves talking to himself
  • His neck movement is getting much better
Eating:
Miles does not think eating is cool these days. He has gone from eating 3 oz every 3 hours to eating 1-1.5 oz every 3 hours. We called the pediatrician to let her know and we went in for a weight check. He is growing just very slowly. The pedi was not concerned at all and emphasized the fact that he will tell me when he is full- and boy does he ever!

Sleeping:
Miles does not think sleeping is cool these days either! He had been consistently giving us a 4-5 hour stretch for the first night feeding and now is back to 2.5-3 hours. In fact we have to work hard to make him stretch the feedings out that much even by going in several times and putting his paci back in. He is still in his crib and wearing his zip up swaddle (he looks like the cutest little glow worm ever!) He is also not interested in sleeping during the day unless it is in his mom's arms.  Sometimes frustrating but most of the time oh so precious!

Playtime:
Miles LOVES to be awake and play (he has a lot of time for it since he is not sleeping or eating!) His favorite thing to do is look at himself in the mirror. He kicks his little feet so hard and coos, smiles and talks to the handsome baby looking back at him in the mirror. He still loves his rainforest mat too and can spend up to 20 minutes under just looking at everything. I have a confession- he also likes watching TV. What can I say he is his fathers child. He will crane his neck in weird positions just so he can see the TV. Jeff thinks it is just because he likes football so much :) His favorite thing of all time is taking a bath! I can take him into the bathroom and lay him down on a towel and he can't contain his excitement because he knows what is coming!

I love this little guy more than I ever knew possible!

My little man kicking his feet!

So chill

The million dollar smile!!

A boy and his monkey :)

He LOVES his monkey!

Just a glimpse of him talking to himself in the mirror

So peaceful

I spend at least 5 hours a day holding him like this so he can sleep. I am the luckiest girl in the world!

Here he is carrying on a conversation with me

Someone is excited to be supporting the Aggies
