Mallory- Month 4

Mallory- Month 4

Milestones:
  • She laughed!!! Not consistently and not at anything but we have heard her sweet giggle
  • Mallory has found her hands and how to drool while eating on them
  • She must be held looking out like a big girl so she can be part of he party
  • Mallory sat in the exersaucer, her little feet can't touch the bottom so we have a pillow help her out
  • When she gets to making cooing noises with her mouth she doesn't stop
  • Mallory is a proffesional bubble blower
  • She went to her first birthday party- Addison's 3 year birthday
  • Mallory went on her first LONG road trip- more details later

Eating:
My Mal Gal started getting self conscious that she was getting bigger that her brother so she scaled back on her eating too. Pediatrician wasn't too concerned because she was still growing on the growth curve. She went from eating 3 oz every 3 hours to 2-2.5 oz every 3 hours. I have had to stop stressing about it because I have come to the conclusion they will only eat what they want to eat. I joke that they are being thoughtful because they we in such an expensive formula they are trying to be conservative with their eating to save me money hahaha

Sleeping:
Mallory takes after her mama in that she is a great napper during the day! She tells you very quickly with her face when she is tired and if you flop her over on her belly and drape a blanket over her head and pat her booty- she will be out in 5 minutes. However sleeping during the night is not her favorite. She has gotten into the habit of waking up and crying for her pacifier. Jeff and I take turns getting up and we both probably average at least 2 times a night. She isn't having any longer sleeping session- she goes about 4 hours for the first stretch and then 3 hours for the next stretch. She is in her crib and still wrapped up in her swaddle.

Playtime:
Mallory has turned into my happy twin (words I never thought would come out of my mouth 2 months ago.) She is so content most of the time! As long as she is turned out so she can be part of the party and whoever is holding her is walking around she is happy! She sits in her bumbo like a big girl and doesn't look like my little bitty baby anymore. She has decided she doesn't like everything on TV but just college football- thanks dad :)
