Miles- Month 5

Milestones:

• Miles found  his feet! He holds on to them until they turn purple, silly boy!

• He celebrated his first Halloween (see Halloween post)

• He went out to his first restaurant (post to follow)

• Miles played in the excersaucer for the first time

• He caught his first cough :( even though it is the sweetest little thing I have ever heard!

• My favorite milestone of the month- he reaches for things!!!

• He is wearing 3-6 month clothes

• His Dad's favorite milestone of the month- he is growing hair!!

• Still wears size 1 diapers during the day but has graduated to size 2 at night!

Eating:

Miles is the funniest when he is taking his bottle. He can't relax and just drink his bottle- he has to move his head ALL over the place! It has been compared to wrestling a manatee which I think is a pretty accurate statement. It is also a full time job making sure he keeps his little fingers out of his mouth because he tries so hard to be able to hold his bottle. He also still makes tons of noise while taking his bottle and takes his sweet time to finish it. I don't complain though because he is consistently taking between 3-4 oz at each feeding which is the equivalent to a Thanksgiving feast for him. He is still very regular about eating every 3 hours. We have also been able to stop his reflux medication and he has responded well- yeah!! You can definetetly tell he is catching up with sister! We tell him everyday he has to eat good to be strong like daddy :)

Sleeping:

Miles is a much stronger sleeper at night then he is during the day. Which we are not picky and will take it when we can get it. While sister wakes up several times between feeds brother just snoozes for about 4 hours before he gets up for the next feed. Even with his little baby cough he doesn't wake himself up He is also sleeping flat in his crib. He had been reclined in a boppy in his crib for his reflux but it was making me nervous because he is so close to rolling over. So it was a rough week weaning him of it, but now the only 'crutch' we use during his sleep is his swaddle.

Playtime:

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this boy? He has such a laid back personality he is SO much fun! His favorite toy is his some plastic keys. He rubs them back and forth on his gums like he is flossing and it is SO precious! He also gets so excited so when you take his clothes off he kicks his little legs so hard. He looks like he is doing the Irish Jig- adorable! I am really impressed by his flexibility as well- his toes are definitely one of his 'go to' toys. Miles got out of the house with daddy and surprised mom at work! He (Jeff & Miles) did great and it made mom's day! Like I mentioned earlier my favorite milestone is how he reaches for things. It was truly AMAZING to watch him concentrate so hard to get his hands to move to what he was concentrating on. He is getting so much more interactive on a daily basis- LOVE him!

He is great at yoga!
