First Christmas

Our Christmas Eve started with a loading up the car to head to the Woodlands. Have I mentioned how much stuff accompanies 6 month old twins on a road trip? :) I need to take a picture of the stuff mini van next time. Anyways we got to the Woodlands had some lunch and then spent time loving on the babies OF COURSE! We then all took turns with the babies while the others took turn getting ready for church. We thought it was important for the babies to accompany us to Christmas Eve service so Jeff and I sat in the family room and enjoyed the service and the music from there. They got a little fussy so I was glad we opted to start off in the family room! We then got back to my parents house for chicken and dumplings. The babies were off schedule so we couldn't get them awake and happy at the same time so we did the present exchange between the adults. We then got the babies to bed and went outside on the driveway for a fire and to hand out candy canes to people driving by looking at all the Christmas lights.  I was the first to turn in knowing the babies weren't going to sleep very good because they were so excited for Santa to come haha!

Such a big helper!

Christmas morning the babies woke up at 6:30 ready to go! However the rest of the Hodges family partied a little too hard the night before so we tried to be quiet and then finally woke up everyone around 8:00 :) We got the babies 2 presents this year- they each got a book and a 'My First Christmas' ornament. Luckily for them Grandma, Grandpa, Emily and Erica decided they need toys! So we spent the morning helping them unwrap all of their fun! We then had a gourmet breakfast made by my dad and then spent the rest of the day napping, watching football and playing with babies (not in that order of course!) We then had an early Christmas dinner of my dad's famous cheeseburgers- yummo!! We then packed the car back up and headed back to College Station because I had to work the next morning. It was a great Christmas celebrating Jesus birthday!
Mallory was in her Christmas pjs ready to start opening presents

Miles was pretty excited about his bear

Someone in Detroit loves them!

The day after Christmas Mimi, Papa Non and Alexis came to visit us! The next morning we celebrated Christmas with them (and of course I had them wear their Christmas jammies again!)  Mimi gave them a bunch of Jeff and Johns old toys from when they were babies which is SO neat!! They are also helping us design a playroom for the babies- more to come when we finish!

I could not have asked for a more perfect Christmas for the little rugrats!
