• He rocks a mo hawk everyday
Eating:
Miles still hasn't calmed down at all when it comes to taking his bottles. Now he turns his head all over and kicks his feet at the same time! It isn't a surprise he doesn't weigh much because he burns all the calories while he is eating them. He is still eating every 3 hours and around 3-4 oz of the Similac Sensitive. He is still trying to catch on to the eating from a spoon thing. We tried peaches for his first food and he gagged so much his eyes were watering. The next day we tried peas and he tolerated them but still snuck some gags in between some bites. He will have nothing to do with rice cereal and won't even open his lips for it. We also have started him back on his reflux medication hoping that maybe it would calm down his fussiness. This little boy was the quite one for the first 3 months but the tables have definitely turned!
Sleeping:
Miles is a good sleeper at night but does not like to sleep during the day! We stopped using the Angel Care monitor for him because he started rolling and a couple times set off the alarm- which having one of those false alarms is enough for me! We have also stopped swaddling him and he seems to be doing well with the transition (it also makes diaper changes a lot easier in the middle of the night!) He had a really bad week of sleeping the week after Thanksgiving but because he was so congested. It broke my heart to see him not be able to breath through his nose! They might have spent several nights with us in bed :) No one believes that he doesn't nap during the day but the boy seriously does not close his eyes for more than 15 minutes at a time. I am OK with it though because it gives me extra special one on one time with my little man!
Playtime:
Miles have decided he is not the laid back little boy he once was. He is demanding of our attention and if we are not giving it to him he grunts! I love that he has boy has blossomed into his own :) Now that he can reach for things I feel like playtime options have multiplied times a million and it is SO fun to see his personality come through! He has a little tambourine that is his favorite and he loves to bang it against his face so that it hit is pacifier. If his pacifier isn't in his mouth then he is moving his hand in and out of mouth to make noise. He is ALL boy how he can't stop moving and loves making noise! He still can't touch the bottom of his exersaucer but he likes to hang out in it with a pillow underneath it. One of my favorite things to do with the babies is to take them on walks. Well, Miles makes this challenging because he HATES the wind! And when I say wind I mean breeze- the boy does not like a breeze :) But it is so precious!
