Mallory- 10 Month

Milestones:

Mallory reached her arms up to be picked up!! I am putty in her hand :)

She has started chewing on her finger- maybe a tooth is around the corner?

Mal has perfected doing a 360 circle on her bum- it is adorable!

When she gets excited she pants like a puppy dog- precious!

We got our first swing set for the back yard and she LOVES it!

She is a little wiz kid now with her finger and can push buttons

Mal throws her very first bad temper tantrum when we took car keys out of her hand

My sweet girl tried to feed Miles and me a goldfish cracker- she is so thoughtful!

When I stick out my point finger she will stick hers out to match mine! LOVE LOVE LOVE We call this "Zing"

She shakes her hip and bob hers head when music is played

Mallory still smiles ALL the time!

• Still wearing size 2 diapers during the day and size 3 at night

 She is getting curly hair!

Eating:

Mallory has become a little stronger formula eater- yeah! She is taking 5 bottles during the day and 1 during the night. With each bottle she can knock out 4-6 ounces- yeah yeah!!This is HUGE for my little princess :)  We have switched back to the regular calorie formula after talking to the pediatrician at their 9 month appointment. We have also switched them to the generic target brand formula of Enfamil Gentleease. They were both having some constipation issues and doc said this might help. She is a champ because she will take her bottle warm or cold :) Mallory was starting to worry me about her non interest in baby food until someone suggested that I try a wider selection of 'big people' food. That was the jackpot- if this girl can fit it in her mouth she wants to eat it again as long as it is NOT baby food :) Her personal favorite though is still ice cream! We have had such nice weather we have made several trips to sit outside and sonic and share cream slushes. Mal is still a rockstar with her sippy cup! We have tried to spice it up and put different types of juices in there- but she is a water gal! She also is very very good with her fine motor skills and can pick up the smallest piece of rice or noodle. Her favorite thing to do is pick it up and offer it to her mommy :) She has also offered several pieces of food to Miles which he gladly takes until he realizes it is solid food and spits it out :)

Sleeping:

One day.... not today I will be able to tell you my babies are sleeping through the night. Until then though I will never ever complain that I get the opportunity to feed two little nuggets whether it is during the day or the night. She is continuing to sleep harder and longer at night- woo hoo! She is still consistently going down around 8:00 o 8:30 and she will make it anywhere between 3 and 5 in the morning for a bottle. Then she will wake up for the morning around 7. Jeff and I have nailed down a system that one parent does the middle of the night feeding and the other parents wakes up with them in the morning. This allows us to get as much sleep as humanly possible with twin babies :) She is doing much better with not waking up as often to need her pacifier. I can't tell if she isn't waking up or if she is just able to put it back in herself now. She again continues to be my strong napper! This girl needs her sleep- and I am glad I can finally see my personality traits shining though her :) Nap time fluctuates with how early they get up in the morning but for the most part nap time is at 11:00 and 2:00. If she were an only child she would probably sleep a good hour an half- but she has a pesky little brother who takes short naps and wakes after about 45 minutes. She is still a tummy sleeper and every once in a while has her little booty popped up in the air ;)

Playtime:

Mal is a hoot- there is no better way to say it :) Her personality shows more and more everyday and I could not be more in LOVE! My favorite thing is how she reaches her arms up when she is ready to be picked up. Of course I might come pick her up on demand when she does that- which has led to a little demanding princess-but I am A-OK with that :) Mallory loves her new swing set! She could be pushed in it all afternoon and she lets out the cutest little giggle every time you push her feed. She also has widened her 'toy radius' because she can swivel around on her booty in a complete circle. This allows her to get her toys in front of her and behind her :) Mallory also likes to spend a majority of her play time on her tummy! She has also discovered her pointer finger which has made toys a lot more interesting for her to play with. She can press buttons or stick her finger in little holes on the toys. Mallory can now play games on the iphone with her pointer finger :) Her favorite iphone game is "Peek-a-boo Barn" where she has to tap the barn doors to open them and then animals pop out. She gets pretty stinking proud of herself! I experimented with her finger pointing and stuck my pointer finger out at her and she stuck hers out to meet mine. ADORABLE!! We call it the "Zing" game. I stick my pointer finger out and then as soon as she touches it with her pointer I say ZING! She thinks it is hilarious :) She is such a smarty pants! With all of her smartness comes a little bit of sassiness too :) She threw her first real temper tantrum when I took my cell phone away from her so i could make a phone call. She threw herself backward on to the ground and arched her back and screamed bloody murder for at least 5 minutes. This girl knows what she likes and she knows that she doesn't like it taken away from her. We might be in for a long road of these temper tantrums- but gosh she is so cute when she does it! She truly is such a happy baby and when we are out and about people just radiate towards her because she sends her little smirk across the room to strangers. Her smile is contagious and I could stare at it ALL DAY long!!
