Mazz Madness!: Miles- Month 10

Milestones:

• Uh-oh Miles learned how to bite- watch out Mallory!

• He continues treatment with his helmet and not bothered at all by it

• Miles laughs the hardest at his sister

• Celebrated with his mommy for her 30th birthday

• He is consistently wearing 6 month clothes and some 6-9 month

• Miles can make a full circle while sitting on his booty by moving his legs

• He has adopted a funny way of perching his feet on sunshade on the stroller

• Almost always sits with his ankles crossed- stinking adorable

• Still wearing size 2 diapers

• Miles has a very swift hand doing tricks with his pacifier

Eating:

Miles is no longer on high calorie formula due to the recommendation of our pediatrician. We are currently feeding them the generic brand of Enfamil Gentlease because the doc said it would help with constipation issues- and boy does this little guy have problems pooping. He is consistently taking 5 bottles during the day and 1 in the middle of the night. He has increased his appetite slightly and is eating 4-5 oz at each feeding. He is definitely his daddy's son because he can burp like full grown man! He can hold his own bottle but he prefers to have held for him :) When he is finished with his bottle he pulls it out of his mouth and plays with the bottle. Miles' eating habits make us laugh! He LOVES baby food and anything pureed in fact you can't shovel it in his mouth fast enough.- but give him anything with texture he spits it out. This talented little guy can find the smallest flec of blueberry in a blueberry yogurt. He acts like he wants whatever we are eating but spits it out as soon as it touches his tongue. The funniest is cheerios because he keep putting them in his mouth and keeps spitting them back out and they all get stuck to his chin- and he gets a little cheerios beard- adorable!!!! His favorite food by far is Sonic cream slushes. You would think he eats it so fast he would get a brain freeze but he grunts if you don't feed it to him fast enough. Miles loves water and drinking out of adult cups and he is actually quite good at it when you hold the cup for him.

Sleeping:

Not much has changed with Miles' sleeping. In a nutshell- he doesn't like naping and he is an early riser! I am going to remind him how much he didn't like to sleep in his teen years! I have found through trial and error that he will nap the longest while I am rocking him. You don't have to twist my arm to spend more time snuggling with him :) He has finally started rolling all the way over to his stomach and it seems like he sleeps a lot deeper during the night because of that.

Playtime:

Miles is an absolute angel in everything he does! He always has the most innocent look on his face and the precious helmet on top of that just melts my heart everytime! Miles aka our little angel has however figured out the one thing he has that his sister doesn't and that is teeth! At first we thought he didn't know what he was doing when he tried to bite her but we have quickly observed that he only bites her when she steals his toys- so he definetly knows what he is doing! He has learned this trick of spinning himself around in a complete circle on his rear end by moving his legs. It is precious! Miles is semi obessed with pacifiers. If he could have it his way he would have one in his mouth and one in each hand and rotate them every couple minutes. He is very good at removing the one in his mouth and replacing it with one from his sisters mouth or another one that he has found near. He will suck on the new one for a couple minutes and then switch back to his original pacifier- he is a magician! Jeff and his favorite game is called "Paci Pass Off." Jeff steals the paci out of Miles mouth with his mouth and then Miles has to use his mouth to get it back. That little boy will do whatever it takes to get his paci back! Miles loves his new swing set but is a little more reserved about it compared to Mallory. He prefers to be held and help push his sister instead! He still loves to go on walk but is still terrified of the wind. We can only hope this is a phobia that doesn't follow him into his teen years :) Miles' hair, oh Miles' hair! It is so pretty and growing so fast! We can't wait till he is helmet free so we can see his goldy locks all the time! We have also started putting him in the walker and he LOVES it! He only moves backward but he is beyond excited to have his independence! His favorite afternoon activity is running around in his walker in the garage! So stinking cute! If he gets stuck somewhere I push his around saying 'Beep Beep' and he cracks up. Miles has the most precious belly laugh! He is a lot easier to get to laugh than Mallory but he always laughs the hardest at his sister :)
