The week of Thanksgiving was great because we got together with 'almost' the whole Mazzolini family which doesn't get to happen very often. We packed up the kids, the dog and half of our house to meet everyone in Dallas for the week. We got their Sunday night just in time for dinner and to unpack in the condo we were staying in for the week.
Monday was a great relaxing day spent in our PJs with our family. We had lots of catching up to do with Anna and we got to meet our new nephew Michael :) The babies hadn't seen cousin Mark since their one year birthday so it was neat seeing the three of them play!
Tuesday we went to the Dallas Arboretum and it was wonderful! They had stuff looking amazing for the holidays and there was an awesome kids section that the nuggets could have stayed in all day. We look forward to going back again sometime.
Wednesday was the day I was most excited about- we were going to the Aquarium! Babies are awesome at saying the word 'fish' so I knew they would enjoy it too. We met lots of Jeff's extended family there so it was a lot of fun! You know those huge group of tourists that you always try to avoid- that was us! The babies were in heaven!! They pointed out every bird, fish, turtle etc that they could lay their eyes on. The squealed everytime they found another one! I think it is safe to say that I have two little animal lovers on my hands- YEAH!! Jeff's cousin Lindsey had a little boy a couple months younger than the twins named Ryder that they had a fun time hanging out with :)
Papa Non thought it would be neat for the babies to ride the 'Dallas train' to and from the aquarium. It was a little longer and colder walk than we were expecting to and from the train but everyone still got to enjoy the experience- well except for Jeff who got a little motion sickness because the chairs were faced backwards. However on the way home from the aquarium both of the babies tuckered themselves right out! (Can you tell what pictures are the ride there and which ones are on the ride home? )
Thursday we all spent just hanging out at the condos. We have come to find out that it is very hard to plan thing around 3 toddlers nap schedule and feeding schedule. But what more could you ask for then good quality family time. We also got Alexis to come join us half way through the week which was great!! Friday we went to Jeff's Aunt Judy's for a BIG Thanksgiving dinner. I would say 1/12 of Jeff's dads extended family was there and it was still easily 30 people! Everyone had great time with great food! Saturday we packed up and headed home. It was a fast and furious week and we missed everyone the second we pulled out of Dallas :(
