Eating
Nothing new on the eating stand point besides that she has to feed everything to herself. We have found that she LOVES hot dogs! However her favorite is still anything sweet! She can clearly say cookie, ice cream and M&M.
Sleeping
Our days start off on the right foot these days by Mallory waking up between 8 and 9- woo hoo!!!! This is incredible considering that usually means 12-13 hours of sleep for her :) She LOVES her pillow and her bumper. She sleeps with about 90% of her body curled up on her stomach on her pillow and then she always has a hand stuck out so we can feel the bumper. Her favorite are the little ties on the bumper- she plays with those in between her fingers to help her fall asleep. In the morning she will lay in her bed watching her 'tv' or laying there and sing to herself for about 30 minutes. This girl needs her time to wake up- which is adorable! One of my most favorite things is going and getting her out of her crib in the morning because she is SO happy! She is always in a good mood upon waking and is always SUPER excited to see her mama! These days her night diaper has been leaking a lot in the middle of the night so morning time means washing sheets. She goes full blast until about 12:30 or 1:00 and when it gets to that time this girl is ready for her nap and won't fight it. A couple of times she has even gone over to her crib and signaled that she wanted in. So I scoop up both of the babies and we have a group hug and kiss time before naps. Then we lay Mallory down in her crib and turn her noise machine on and close the door and we don't hear a peep from her again until about 2 hours later. It is AMAZING!!!! I go and check on her a lot because I am always anxious for her to wake up so we can play again :) Our night time routine has changed a bit in that she gets her bottle from mama these nights. She has turned into quite the Mama's girl these past couple weeks and won't take her bottle from anyone but mama- which I am OK with :) So Mallory and Mom go and lay in our bed and I give her a bottle and sing to her. I then continue to pray for her in a whisper as she drifts off into a sleep. I then lay there with her for a while just snuggling her little body next to mine and feeling her breathe. Then after a while Daddy comes and gets her to take her to her crib- because Mom is terrible at it and wakes her up everytime. We LOVE our little princess and she is such an angel when she sleeps :)
Playing:
When it comes to playtime I do not have babies anymore I definitely have toddlers! One of the most incredible things when playing with them is watching their imagination come alive and boy has it ever for Mallory! She sits down with a bunch of dolls and moves them all around having them do the correct activities in the right rooms etc (puts them in bed and says nigh nigh, sits them at table to eat and says yum, puts them on the potty and says poop.) Whatever she is doing though she likes to be doing it sitting in mommy's lap :) She is my little shadow all day and I wouldn't have it any other way. She also is my little helper now because it is amazing how much she understands (she can put stuff in the trash, she can go get her shoes, she can go get her water!) This is my little angel with a lot of sassiness too. She can say 'NO' very quickly and points her finger when she says it to Dad, Mom and Miles a lot! She also must take every toy from Miles whether she really wants to play with it or not. She also has to be the one in charge of everything. She must hold the cup with the crackers and decide when and how many Miles gets, she must hold the book we are reading, and she must push Miles in the stroller, she decides who sits in what chair and she decides when bath time is over. Mallory's new favorite hobby is playing outside with the neighbors. If you ask her if she wants to go play with "Emma, Julia, Kyleigh....etc" she nods her head so quickly and runs to the door. When we get outside she likes to push things around such as a baby stroller or her cozy coupe and then she just likes to watch the big kids! With her being so independent it also means quite a few temper tantrums. If she sees something and wants it she will throw a absolute fit until she gets it. The other day she cried on the floor for 30 minutes because I got tired her standing and holding her to turn the light switches off and on :) I could go on and on about her precious personality! Mallory you keep me on my toes and I LOVE every second of it!
