Eating
Miles still hasn't decided that eating is fun. We have figured out that he will eat hot dogs or little breakfast weenies (which when he says weenies it is so funny!) He also is a big fan of the goldfish- infact I am not entirely convinced his body isn't make up of 90% goldfish. The really exciting this is that he hasn't choked in the past month! We have even given him tortilla chips and fritos which had a high choke risk factor before. Can we say cheers to no more heimlich maneuver! He has discovered that he LOVES chick-a-fila nuggets- one day he ate 8 nuggets in one sitting (I am pretty sure that is equal to his body weight!)
Sleeping
Our little prince charming has figured out the way to happiness is sleep!!!! Miles wakes up between 8-9 every morning but always before Mallory- which is fine with me because it gives us some alone time. He is happy to come and lay with us in bed and read some books while we wait for sister to wake up. The biggest change is how easily he goes down for a nap. Around 12:30 to 1:00 everyday he starts pulling at his ear (which is our que that he is sleepy!) I then scoop up both babies and we give each other kisses and then go put Mallory down in her crib first. Miles waves goodbye to her and says 'Nigh Nigh.' We then walk to his room and turn his noise machine on and lay him down in his pack n play. He turns on his little musical tv box and puts himself to sleep. It is truly AMAZING! He then sleeps for around 2 hours and again always wakes up before sister. The other day he walked into his room and turned his own sound machine on- which was his hint to me that he was ready for nap time :) Going to bed routine has changed a little in now that Miles gets his night bottle from Dad. I really really miss my night time with Miles but Mallory insists it happens this way. Daddy enjoys his evening sports watching time with his dad though. Jeff secretly enjoys getting his ears grabbed by Miles while he falls asleep :)
Playtime
Miles is seriously the sweetest little boy and some how becomes sweeter every passing day. He is the first to share his paci, food, his toys and is ALWAYS up for a kiss and hug! He melts my heart! The funniest though it when Mallory is throwing a tantrum (which happens a lot) and he always goes over and pats her head and lays his head on her stomach in attempts to make her feel better :) On the other note he is definetly growing into his role as little brother. He knows his sister's hot buttons and he pushes them on a regular basis with a michevious grin on his face. He also LOVES to wrestle which is adorable but Mallory doesn't think it is so cute when he is crawling all over her :) He still is a HUGE fan of trucks and cars! We have a lot of construction going on in our neighborhood and everyday we take a walk to visit the trucks and he just stands there- not moving as he watches there every move. He also has a lot of play cars and one of his new favorite things to do with them is line them up and then he says 'choo-choo' ADORABLE! He is still amazed by the pets and goes over to the cat and dog several times a day just to give them a hug or lay his head on him. He is also very good at pointing out their body parts such as tail and paw and occasionally a good poke in the eye. Miles also figured out he can sit on the dog- we are aware this could be dangerous if Mila was to stand up suddenly so we watch very carefully :) We put a bird feeder outside their play room and he could keep his attention almost all day watching the birds. He yells BIRD every time a new one shows up and says "cheep cheep cheep!" Of the two he is much more an independent player at home but when we are out in public he becomes my clingy one- so interesting to watch the dynamics. He also is VERY brave- which makes his mommy very nervous! One night we were at the mall and he wanted to try the escalator he didn't even hesitate- he just jumped on and jumped off and wanted to do it again and again and again. This boy melts my heart in more ways than I knew possible! I thank our God as often as I can for blessing me with this little man!
