Mazz Madness!: Miles- 23 & 24 Months

Milestones
- Got his first and second ear infection
- Went to OKC for the 3rd time
- Miles got his head stuck in between 2 bars
- He discovers his LOVE for puzzles!
- First swim of the season
- Has become very attached to his blanket
- He peed in potty!
- Started calling Mallory 'Mal-Mal'

Sleeping
I am determined to have them share a room- but their sleeping habits require otherwise. One weekend we decided to try them back together and it was a disaster and we ended up with 2 screaming babies in the middle of the night. So we finally moved Miles crib into the back bedroom and he was SO excited! He is definitely my more consistent sleeping through the night guy right now and we really appreciate that :) He doesn't go down for naps as easy anymore but after letting him cry for a bit he finally puts himself to sleep. Everyday before naps we have a routine in that we give sister a hug, then we go into his room, turn on his sound machine, turn on his 'tv', he lays on his tummy on his pillow, and I drape his blanket over him- PRECIOUS! The best part is on the walk from Mal's room to his room he says 'Nigh- Nigh' to everything- the couch, Mila, the people, MJ and of course Mal-Mal. He is going down everyday for a nap around 1:00 and we don't let him sleep past 3. The funniest is when one of them wake up before they other they run into the others room to wake them up- believe it or not they love each other :) Night time is still quite a bit later than we would prefer around 10:00 but he also sleeps in till 9:00- so we can't complain.

Eating
Little man is still my non-eater. In fact in addition to not eating he has learned the word 'yucky'- but like I have said in the past he doesn't even taste the food but he points to everything and says yucky! In the morning I have started giving them extremely watered down orange juice and they are BIG fans of that. We have also finally gotten rid of the bottle! It wasn't very hard because now they just get their milk at night in a sippy cup :) We are very lucky in the fact that they LOVE to brush their teeth after eating and drinking! He has even slowed down on eating his beloved Chick-a-fila nuggets but has a new fondness for pancakes in the morning. HOWEVER this little boy will never ever say NO to a cup of crushed ice! We will take whatever we can get!

Playtime
Miles is my sweet soft spoken very 'typical' little brother :) He has figured out how to push his sister's buttons and boy does he push them! His favorite way to pick on her is to put her paci in his mouth- and then he stands close to her until she notices that he has it. Then when she starts screaming "Mal-Mal paci" he takes it out of his mouth and chunks it as far as he can! He also loves touching her when she is not in the mood to be touched. We lay in bed at night reading books and they are next to each other and we are on the outside. He MUST have his arm laying on hers and when she fuses he moves it but then he sticks his leg on her haha... it is hard to stop him when it is SO funny! Every morning I have been taking them to Research Park to feed the ducks and the turtles and they LOVE it! Of course I am a little nervous with them around the pond by myself so I take them to the bridge to throw the pieces of bread. Well... one day Miles stuck his head through and couldn't get it back out. A bystander ran over franticly to help and told me to rub spit on his ears? He was screaming and I wasn't as panicked as I would have thought and after a couple of minutes of maneuvering was able to get his head back out. Needless to say about 10 minutes later he did it again without getting it stuck this time. Miles has becomes a MASTER at his scooter! Up until now he has been a little speed demon pushing it with his feet but recently he has started to keep his feet up on the scooter and maneuver it with his arms like you are suppose to. He also LOVES going down peoples steep driveways. He also makes very quick turns that almost cause him to flip over! Seriously this kid is going to make me nervous the older and braves he gets! Miles is quite the smartie pants- he hates his feet being touched so when he sees me painting Mal's toes he freaks out and I reassure him I will not paint his :) Well one evening Jeff was working on his phone and Miles was crying asking for the bottle of polish- well for some reason Jeff handed it to him and didn't pay attention after. Well Miles comes around the corner with the bottle open and his toes painted! He had opened it with his teeth and painted only his toes- when he had our whole house he could have painted. He is his father's son :) Miles has also started having quite a little imagination. We have a doll house- that we refer to as 'people' and he LOVES playing with them and setting them up. He puts the table in the middle and sets up all the chairs around them for the people to sit in- it blows my mind how he knows to do that! He also tucks them all into their bed and kisses them and tells them 'Nigh-nigh.' Miles is still my animal lover and he can't get enough of them. He LOVES farm animals, any dog being walked in our neighborhood, any bug walking on the ground, any bird in the sky and his favorite is the fish at the pet store! I LOVE watching him be a boy- play in the dirt, pick up bugs, play with trucks, and throw rocks!
