On their birthday weekend we were out of town for a wedding- so we decided to celebrate out of town :)
We woke up at the Motel 8 in Tyler that we stayed at Saturday night (sorry your mom is so cheap) and we headed to McDonalds for breakfast! They were of course not interested in the food at all but very excited about the indoor playground!
We then headed to the Tyler Zoo! The kids (noticed I didn't call them babies) were SO excited to go see animals!! They made up songs in the car the whole ride there about seeing animals :) It was a beautiful zoo and we had a great time! Their favorite were the elephants and giraffes and we got to watch them eat while we ate some ice cream :) One of the zoo's featured animals were a little lion monkey who had twin babies ;) We stopped by and told Mama Monkey good luck and it gets easier every day!

Around 1:00 we packed up and let them nap in the car and we drove back to College Station. On the way home we stopped at their favorite place for dinner Freebirds! It is a nostalgic place for me on their birthday because that is what Jeff was on his way to go pick up for us when my water broke. We then headed home to sing and eat cupcakes. Lets just say Mr. Miles is not afraid of sweets or making a mess :)
Then it was time for their big present! Jeff took them into their room while I set the bikes up in the living room. When they came out to see them the looks on their face was priceless! My favorite part was that Mal went to the pink bike and Miles went to the green bike! It was hot outside so we let them 'walk' them around the house all night long and they would NOT put them down! That night we had to tuck the beds in with a blanket and kiss them night night in order for the kids to agree to go to bed. That night we laid with them in bed as we tried as they fell asleep at 8:30- around the time they were born 2 years ago. What an amazing 2 years it has been!!!
