Mazz Madness!: Mallory- 27 & 28 Months

Milestones:

- Wears size 4 diapers day and night

- Wears size 4 shoes and 18m/24m clothes

- Started gymnastics (see gymnastics post)

- Talks ALL the time in full sentences

- Mallory says some things that crack us up "Good Morning" "Shake Your Booty" and "Excuse Me" every time she hiccups :)

- She is getting some crazy long CURLY hair!

- Is great at going on the potty if we sit her on there

Eating:

Mallory is just like her mommy and breakfast never sounds yummy- but that doesn't keep her from drinking her full cup of milk :) Mallory is great at trying any food you give her. She then will spit it back into your hand and say "No like it" if she isn't a fan. She doesn't eat any big sit down meals but is more of a snacker through out the day. She LOVES strawberries, nuts, chips and crackers... oh wait can't forget candy!

Sleeping:

Sweet sweet Mallory loves her mommy so much that she likes to spend time with me in the middle of the night. Mallory has gotten into a habit of waking up around 3 and yelling 'Mommy's bed' We let her holler for a little bit but then we bring that precious face into bed with us where she quickly falls back asleep. The rest of the night is filled with her arms and legs waving all over the place and her loud outbursts of talking in her sleep. She has said such things as "No clean diaper", "Stop Miles", "More Milk" It is a hoot! Besides the middle of the night craziness Mal is a great sleeper :) She still rocks nap time like a champ and goes down everyday asking to sleep in "Mommy's bed" but then reluctently will go lie bed with her milk and then she has to be covered by her pink blanket. In about 3 minutes she hollers at me for me to come and get her empty milk cup :) She then lays there and twirls the ribbons on her crib bumper till she falls asleep. She has been going to bed pretty consistently at 10:00 and wakes up in the morning between 9 and 10- ALWAYS with a smile on her face.

Playing:

Mallory will ALWAYS have a smile on her face (unless you are trying to take her picture) no matter what she is doing! She has turned into a playground junkie :) Everyday she wants to go swing on our swings or go to the 'playground' so needless to say we have visited many around town and she just loves climbing, exploring and sliding! This girl can also be pushed in her swing in our backyard until your arm falls off. Her new thing is she wants the person pushing her to sing songs- so we sing ABC's, Monkeys Jumping on a Bed etc. She wasn't my little water bug this summer. She enjoyed going to the pool as an activity to do to get out of the house but was always disappointed when we would pass the playground for the pool. She enjoyed the baby pool this year (which was still kinda deep for them) but I would sit in there ans she would just jump up and down in one spot for a LONG time enjoying the feeling of weightlessness. She enjoyed jumping into the pool from the side but we let her go underneath the water a couple of times and she wasn't a fan. Anytime we also tried to take her away from the stairs she would say 'turn around-go back' so she could go play on the stairs again. Mallory is still very timid of most animals. We went to a drive thru wildlife safari and Mallory was terrified to say the least- poor thing! She is such a chatter box I can't even begin to put all the words and funny things she says! If you aren't listening to her she will grab your cheeks so you are looking her in the eye and EVERYTHING that she does is proceeded by 'Mom watch!' She is very polite though and always says 'Please' 'Excuse Me' and 'Thank you!' She is also my social butterfly and LOVES being outside with the neighbors or going over to Addisons. She hangs with the big kids and it doesn't even phase her she is 3 years younger than them all. Mallory's hair is hot mess! It is getting so long and curly and she will not let us brush it or put it in a ponytail- so half of the time it usually looks like a rats nest on the back of her head ;) She is pretty interested in the potty and before bath time will almost always go pee in it. We still aren't forcing anything but she definetly knows what is going on down there :) Her favorite toys continue to be her baby dolls and kitchen. You can ask her where ANY of her 5 million babies dolls are at any point and she can tell you exactly where each one is. She LOVES feeding them baby bottles and has gotten good at burping them afterwards too :) However my favorite is when she sways back in forth with one patting it to make it stop crying- melts my heart!
