Mazz Madness!: Fall at Covanent Presbyterian

The kids LOVE school! We are SO grateful for the decision to enroll them. They ask everyday if it is Tuesday or Thursday :) They LOVE talking about their friends! Miles has 3 boys in his class: Owen, Graham and Thomas. Mallory has 2 girls in her class: Tatum and Gerilynn. Everyday it is a fun surprise on to see who gets to be the line leader! The line leader gets to feed the class hamster Peaches! Every other Tuesday they go to chapel and they sing lots of songs about Jesus with "Walking with Jesus" being their favorite. Half way into the semester their teacher Mrs. Whileyman started posting pictures on Facebook of what they were doing at school- it is GREAT! We have the option of letting them stay for lunch everyday from 11:15 to noon and then from noon to 2 they can stay and play outside with all the other big kids. They love staying for lunch but they aren't crazy about staying afterwards to play on the playground with the big kids. The teachers say the big kids are kind of wild- and that makes Miles and Mallory nervous haha! So if I let them stay to play on the playground when I come to get them they are usually sitting off to the side just the two of them. At least they have each other! For the first couple months the teachers were concerned because neither of them would go to the bathroom at school. The teachers said they both would get this worried/scared look on their face everytime they were asked if they needed to go potty. We hypothesized this is because I never ask them if they need to go potty I always just wait for them to tell me when they need to. Mallory has had a couple accidents at school in the beginning but they have been accident free for the past 3 months! This semester they went to a pumpkin patch, made homemade applesauce, had a thanksgiving feast, had a Christmas party, had birthday parties for classmates, made play doh and lots lots more!
