Eating
Mallory continues to be my adventurous eater. She LOVES fruits and veggies with strawberries and cucumbers being her favorite. We are trying to cut back on how much milk she drinks because she often complains of her tummy hurting. She asks for milk whenever she gets tired and since she has stopped napping she is tired all day long!
Sleeping
We are still sleepless in College Station over here. We decided that maybe if we jazzed up getting big kid beds with a new bed and new exciting sheets they would want to sleep in their own rooms :) Well we bought her some princess sheets and a pink comforter! She was pretty excited about getting a big kid bed and I might have shed a tear when we finally took down their cribs. The good news is she loves doing gymnastics on her new bed bad news is she still isn't sleeping all night in her room :( The doll that we bought to brib her with 5 months ago still hasn't been opened :( With the time change she has been going to bed earlier around 8 or 9 and wakes up promptly around 7- and she still hasn't changed her mind on boycotting naps! To fall asleep everynight we take turns who laying with them until they fall asleep. We might bit a little bit of enablers :)
Playtime
Mallory is my sweetheart through and through! Everyday she does something new to show me how caring, compassionate, gentle, care-giver and girly she is! She ALWAYS thinks about others before her. She will pick out a blue crayon and hand it to Miles and say "Look it is your favorite color Miles" or she shares her M&M's with me without batting an eye. My new favorite thing she does is how she talks to her baby dolls- she calls them "Sweetie" "Sweetheart" "Babygirl" and the list goes on of her compassionate terms. She always makes sure they are buckled in to her stroller or car seat and then makes sure they have plenty of milk to drink. Her favorite outdoor activity is swinging- she could spend ALL day out there! When we are in the front yard she sets up her babies to ride in the jeep with her or she sets them all up to have them watch her brother play. She is SO tender with her brother and assists him in anything he needs help with- she is not only his sister she is his little mommy! Inside her favorite activity besides playing with her baby dolls is playing with her 'people' which is her doll house. She sets up all the furniture they way a house would look and she plays out different scenarios such as them having a birthday party, going to work, and getting ready for bed. Everything she picks out or talks about it "Pink" or "Princess"! The only girly stereotype she doesn't fit into is she doesn't like her hair being messed with- I am sure it will come in time :) I am in LOVE with this princess!!!
