Mazz Madness!: Miles- 41 & 42 Months

Milestones

- Celebrate Halloween & Thanksgiving

- Wears 2T tops and 18M bottoms with size 6 shoes

- Sleeps in a big twin bed

- Really interested in watching You Tube videos about trucks

- Has been introduced to the world of time out

- 'Poop' has become a staple in his vocabulary

Eating

Miles took us on a rollercoaster these 2 months with being more particular about his eating than normal. He will eat something and then it would get 'stuck' on his tongue and he won't put his tongue back in his mouth until either we wash his tongue off or he makes himself throw up. We are talking this happens 5-10 times a day. We have taken him to the doctor and they say it looks a little red and possibly he has reflux. But we discussed with the doctor that NOTHING is getting down this child's throat let alone a medicine. So we are giving him Carnation Chocolate Milk for all of his meals until hopefully this phase passes.

Sleeping

We are grasping at straws over here to get these kids to stay in their bed/room through the night so we thought that maybe if we jazzed up getting big kid beds with a new bed and new exciting sheets they would want to sleep in their own rooms :) Well we bought him some Blaze- the monster truck sheets and a big blue comforter He has gotten to open up the mack truck toy that we bribed him with (to stay in his bed a whole night) but it definitely happened because of a fluke! Lucky for him he is a heavy sleeper so when he falls asleep he rarely stirs- but when he does he is sure to come in our room and get on his cot. With the time change we have been going to bed earlier around 8 or 9 and waking up promptly around 7- there is STILL no naps to be taken in this house besides mom! To fall asleep everynight we take turns who laying with them until they fall asleep. We might be a little bit of enablers :)

Playtime

Miles is a little 'stinker-winker' as I like to call him. I have never EVER met someone so stubborn and boy does that make him a challenge to parent. We have turned the lock around in their bedroom so that I can lock them in their for time out. Well... I usually put him in there because he hits Mallory- so I leave him in there for 2 minutes while he kicks and screams. I open the door and tell him he needs to apologize to Mallory and he charges full force at me and hits me! So I put him back in time out and we no lie repeat this process 8-10 times before he finally gives me a hug when I open the door. This boy is going to take over the world with his determination to be in charge :) I also never want to forget how particular he is because it is just like his daddy. Everytime he gets buckled in his car seat he makes sure we fix the back of his shirt because it always rides up and he is not a fan of pants because they are never exactly the right length haha! One thing is for sure is that his boy LOVES his mama- and I pray it stays that way forever. He wants me in the room with him at ALL times and daddy does not cut the mustard. I am the one who he requests brush his teeth, get him dressed and wipe his bottom and again if Jeff tries he throws a fit! He also is very much turning into a smart ally little boy. EVERYTHING I ask him he answers the opposite to- Miles what color is the grass? "Orange" Miles do you love your mommy" "No" Miles you look so handsome! "No I don't" Miles what would you like to eat for lunch "Poop" he cracks me up! He continues to LOVE to play with his trucks and all things boy!!! He also LOVES bath time- infact he will stand in the shower and let the water pour on his head for at least 20 minutes. I LOVE him and every little thing about him!
