- Took first swim lessons
- Sleeping in bunk beds
Eating
Nothing new to update- she is still the better eater of the two. She would eat a gallon of ice everyday if I let her followed by a package of popsicles.
Sleeping
This little lady refuses to sleep in past 6 am these days! As soon as she wakes up she is in my face telling me to open my eyes and to wake up- people keep telling me I am going to miss this someday :) Since my last update- we have bought bunk beds for them! We have them both on the ground and they are pretty proud of them. We have cut out nighttime milk- so the bedtime routine is each of us taking turns laying with one of the twins while they fall asleep. Mallory HAS to have her brown blanket (a pillowcase that she plays with her fingers when she is tired) and her stuff Clifford. She is getting pretty good at saying our nightly prayer as well..."Dear God, Thank you for today. Thank you for our family and friends. Thank you for our health. We love you. Amen" This little lady is ALWAYS hot- so never sleeps with a sheet or cover on and usually asks for us to blow on her legs because they are hot! She then wakes up sometime in the middle of the night and comes and lays on her cot (with her brown blanket and Clifford in tow) next to mommy's side of the bed. This results in her telling me to hold her hand until she falls back asleep- this process usually repeats itself a couple times every night. The sweetest part though is every morning before she wakes me up she goes back into her room to make her bed! (I haven't made a bed a day in her life- so I am not sure where she gets it from)
Playtime
Mallory and her babies.... what more can I say. She LOVES dressing, redressing, changing diapers, feeding them etc. The sweetest thing she has started doing is saying please for EVERYTHING and making sure she says thank you when I give her something. If Miles doesn't say thank you after she gives him something- she lets me know. She has been conflicted this summer because she adores playing outside with her neighbor friends- but the girl does not like to be hot! So needless to say I have had a lot of neighbors in our house most evenings. She really likes going to the pool and being at the pool- but still has no interest what so ever in getting her face wet. In fact if a splash gets near her eye she has to get out and get a towel to dry it off. She also loves setting up little houses/forts for babies. We always have blankets draped across chairs in our house. She is getting a lot more interactive with the neighbors and adds in to conversations instead of just following them around. Every morning this little diva picks out her own clothes, puts them on, brushes her hair and teeth, puts on stick on earrings, puts on a necklace and a bracelet ALL without prompting from me- it is adorable! Being a girl is in her blood because I sure as heck didn't teach her that :)
