Well the day had come for us to officially try out Disneyland! The first day Grandpa Hodges dropped us off but we quickly learned it was easier to walk from our rental house for the rest of the trip. We were SO blessed with AMAZING weather!! I did not plan out our day so we just kinda winged it when we got there. I was SHOCKED that the wait for everything was at least 30 minutes! So we didn't ride a lot or take a lot of pictures in the morning because I kept thinking the wait was going to get shorter- boy was I wrong!
Ready to conquer Disney!
While we were waiting for the rest of the crew to make it to the park the twins, Mimi and I took a train ride around the whole park which was a perfect way to start the day!
Our first ride was "It's A Small World!" The kids enjoyed it and we all enjoyed being in the AC out of the sun!
Our next stop was Toon Town where we saw about 1000 strollers and realized their was a really long wait to see Mickey- but that didn't stop us from walking through his house! We also stopped and had lunch in Toon Town- and got some good family pictures!
Before we took our afternoon break we decided to wait in the huge line of the "Autopia" ride and the submarine ride which were right next to each other! Of course waiting in line is made much easier by cotton candy! We paired off: GH & Mallory, Jeff & Miles, Mimi & Non, Liz and GH. I made sure to take a selfie of GH and I while I was driving!

Sitting in the submarine- watching our view from the windows!
We then decided to take the monorail back to Downtown Disney and walk back to the house for a break/nap. Well GH,GH, Mal and Mom slept while everyone else played in the pool!
After rest time the parents went out to resteraunt at Downtown Disney and Jeff and I took the kids back to the park with the goal of taking pictures with some characters! We waited in 45 minutes to see 3 princesses and we were second last in line but we MADE it! And serious kudos to the kids for waiting that long. After pictures we met up with the grandparents and did the Jungle cruise which was my favorite ride- but it was too dark so we didn't get any pictures. Then as we were walking toward the front of the park Miles fell asleep and we ran into Goofy! It was so special because he grabbed Mallory's hand and walked with her down Main Street. Then everyone (minus sleeping Miles and I) went and watched the Abraham Lincoln show- when they came out we found Minnie and Mickey-it was great timing! We survived our first day!
