Christmas!

Christmas was SO magical this year for SO many reasons!

This was the first year that we put up Christmas decorations since the twins were born and they had SO much fun decorating it, undecorating it, and decorating it again! The bottom 3 feet had plastic ornaments and beanie baby ornaments- we only had on casualty :) They also took turns every night on who got to turn the lights on for the tree. Probably my favorite thing for the whole month of December was that EVERY night- regardless of what we had going on we went and drove around and looked at Christmas lights! The kids were in AWE!!!! They knew what decorations every neighbor had up and they knew when they added more. Their favorites of course were the big inflatables! Most of the nights we just drove around the 3 streets in our neighborhood so they just sat in our lap which they considered a huge treat! When we would tell them it was time to head back home they both screamed because they were having such a great time!

We also did lots of Christmas activities during the month too. We took the kids to Santa's Wonderland one night! We went with our sweet neighbors the Buckners and we all had such a great time! We rode on the hay ride, rode a train and gawked and gawked at all the lights! Another night we went to the Bryan Christmas parade. I didn't get very good pictures because it was at night time and all the floats had Christmas lights on them- it was awesome!!! Two different nights we also took the kids to Central Park in College Station so we could walk around and look at all the amazing Christmas lights they had set up there.

We decided to head down to the Woodlands Dec 23rd to fit some more time in the family. It was a rough car ride because poor Mal-Mal had some tummy bug going on. So we pulled over 3 times to change her poopy diaper because her booty hurt :( One time it ended up all over her clothes so the rest of the car ride she was naked. That afternoon we hung out playing with all of G&G Hodges toys! That night was eventful because Mallory woke up in the middle of the night and threw up on G&G Hodges freshly cleaned carpet- it was a long long night so Christmas Eve was spent lounging around the house and taking naps ;) We did all get dressed and head to Fellowship of the Woodlands (Mallory hadn't had any tummy problems in over 12 hours) and we decided it would be OK as long as they sat with us during the service. Well they did great and we made it for over 1/2 the service! That night we exchanged presents and went and did our annual tradition of sitting on the driveway watching the cars go by as they look at Christmas lights. This year was a little different though because it was HOT so we didn't have a fire and most of us were wearing shorts :) That night the kids slept through the night which was a Christmas miracle in itself! Christmas morning we woke up and the kids opened up some more presents. Dad cooked his traditional AMAZING Christmas morning breakfast and then we all packed up and took a walk to the park. It was a wonderful morning! After lunch we packed up and drove back to College Station.
