Mallory- 29 & 30 Months

Milestones:
- Brings me a new diaper when she needs to be changed
- Is very bossy to Miles (but in a sweet loving way)
- Has learned how to use a stand up scooter
- Went trick or treating for first time (See Halloween post)
- Wore big girl panties to HEB and no accidents
- Had her first really bad tummy bug

Eating:
Mallory's hair continues to grow but it definetly is not from the the food she eats. Her diet still consists of macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, goldfish crackers, ranch dressing and any candy she can get her hands on. Occasionally she throws in a couple vegetables and binge eats them such as carrots or brocolli and maybe an orange once a month. She is ADDICTED to her milk and we go through 1 gallon every 3 days. She is still open to trying most everything I cook it is just usually followed with an "Yon't Like It."

Sleeping:
Oh Mallory- how your cuteness makes up for the lack of sleep we get! We have completely reverted and somehow everynight she ends up in bed with us. Not only in bed with us every night but in bed beckoning requests such as 'Eat Thins' and 'MILK' which of course we end up giving into. So lets be honest the real problem isn't in Mallory but it in our push over parenting :) Her funniest sleeping habit (besides the talking) is she lays down with her head on the pillow until she gets tired and then as soon as she is about to fall asleep she sits up turns around and sleeps with her head at our feet. It happens EVERY night! She is also ADDICTED to her 'white blanket' which is a very very nice ivory pillowcase. You know she is getting sleepy when she asks for it and you better believe she has to have it to fall asleep at night time and for nap time. She still goes down like a professional for her naps around 1:00 and sleeps tilll around 2:30 or 3:00. Bedtime routine hasn't been on track for a while- they lay in bed with us while we read a book, watch and episode of animal planet or Daniel Tiger, and they fall asleep in our arms around 10:00. Jeff then scoops them up and goes and places them in their crib and the countdown begins until we see her again around 2 or 3 in the morning :)

Playtime:
Mallory's favorite thing to do right now is be the center of attention with all of our girl neighbors. She is the littlest with the majority of them being 5 and they treat Mallory like their real life baby doll. They take her hand and walk her around every where, try to teach her how to write, and pull her in a wagon. Mallory will do WHATEVER they ask her to do. There have been a couple nights to where they asked her to spend the night and she was ready to leave us! Mallory also LOVES to run! She will do laps around our house or just run up and down the driveway. Miles will ride his scooter if we got on a walk and she prefers just running. She is still very much in love with her dolls- the sweetest thing is she sits them on her lap and reads to them! The best part is she actually says some of the right words in the books because she knows them by heart. She also has taken up really loving to color with markers and crayons. She knows all of her colors and loves testing them all. The funniest thing that has evolved in the past couple months is how Mallory and Miles play together. When they talk to each other they make sure the other one is looking at them in the eye- which isn't always easy. They share better than I have ever seen 2 year olds share. Without me interviening either one of them will ask the other one for a turn and they will willingly give the toy over to the other. Mallory in particular has a very mother hen relationship with Miles. She shows him how puzzle pieces fit if he can't get it, she goes and gets his paci for him when he is upset, and she always offer to share all of her food with him. The other day I was threatening to spank Miles and she went over and hit his booty- hahaha! She is such a talker too and explains to me what she is doing while she is doing everything- 'finger in my nostril big booger', 'move my bangs with my hand', 'put 2 pink socks on 2 feet mom' this list goes on and on she is such a talker! My favorite time to listen to her talk is when I come home work and she explains to me EVERYTHING that they did during the day, EVERYONE they saw and EVERYTHING they ate! She is my girl and I can't wait to watch our relationship grow :)

She doesn't like ponytails- so when she lets me do when we get a picture
