So Jeff got some free tickets from a friend so we decided what the heck. Well let me preface with telling you the game as a 11:00 it was in September and it was HOT!!!!!! There was a reason the tickets were given to us for free- because no one in their right mind would torture themselves watching football in that heat.
The whole family had their maroon clothes on, sunscreen, water bottles and enthusiastic attitude (minus Mom.) So we walked the 10 miles to the field and then another 10 miles up to the top of the stadium and we sweat and we sweat some more! At this point the kids were still excited well.... until we sat in our seats and it truly felt like you were 5 feet from the sun. The game hadn't even started and they both (and Mom) were asking to go home. So I took them to walk around the stadium in the shade and to get a lemon chill. So we didn't watch any of the game but people watched from the shade. We watched half time (which was our goal to make it that long) and then the kids feel asleep in our arms for the 100 mile walk back to our car. I have never been SO hot in my whole entire life! The Aggies won and we got some cute pictures but I think we won't try that again for another 10 years :)
