I flew up to Detroit for a quick trip to visit both Grandmas! Jeff stayed home with the kiddos and my parents were in Detroit as well which was a huge help with transportation. Thursday I spent the day driving around with my Dad and Grandma H. We went to the cemetary to visit Grandpa, Belle Isle, visit several significant places to Grandma. While we were out driving we got a message from Emily that she was going to be induced that day- we all couldn't believe we were going to be in Detroit when Carrington was going to be born! That afternoon Grandma and I went through several photo albums and had great conversation on the porch because the weather was perfect! That evening we had several visitors stop by to Hi- Mrs. Burwell, Cousin Jeff, Uncle John, Aunt Betsy and Cousin Elliot. That night we had pizza from Dad's favorite place Buddys. I was a proud granddaughter because I convinced Gma for us all to eat on paper plates- which she thinks is barbaric. I tried to convince her to do paper napkins too but she said that was too far :) We all made guesses on when Carrington was going to be born and on her weight!

The next day I was kinda under the weather with a killer headache- so we laid low but we had all woken up to the great news that Carrington had been born late the night before. That afternoon we went over to Gma Z's house and visited there for a while. Then we headed to my Aunt Lynn's new house about 30 minutes away to meet up with all the cousins. I got to meet little Ethan for the first time and he was the most chill baby. It was a great visit with everyone!
The next morning came early and I was sad to leave Michigan but really anxious to get back to my kiddos!
